I learned what I already knew
I don't know why...but I am compelled to take these quizzes. (See box below) Even if I already know the answer...I like to assure myself that I'm on track.
Shockingly, (not really) this quiz informmed me I should write Science Fiction. (!)
I decided almost a year ago to try and write a romantic science fiction story.
Just a Kiss was born from wanting to write a shorter work in a different genre to fulfill a requirement on my annual goal list.
It turned out to be a great idea and a big turning point for me.
Just a Kiss, my take on hot and sexy chocolate kissing aliens, was the first book I sold. :)
So if you're a writer in a rut...branch out and try a new genre. You never know what might happen.

You Should Be a Science Fiction Writer |
Your ideas are very strange, and people often wonder what planet you're from. And while you may have some problems being "normal," you'll have no problems writing sci-fi. Whether it's epic films, important novels, or vivid comics... Your own little universe could leave an important mark on the world! |

You Should Be a Joke Writer
You're totally hilarious, and you can find the humor in any situation.
Whether you're spouting off zingers, comebacks, or jokes about life...
You usually can keep a crowd laughing, and you have plenty of material.
You have the makings of a great comedian - or comedic writer.
Not sure if I'd make a good comedian, but *I* think my stuff is funny.
But I know what you mean about knowing what you write. My mom found some of my old stories that I wrote when I was a kid. Some of them were, well, not so good (especially the sci-fi stuff which was blatant Ray Bradybury rip-offs) but the only one story that was pretty good was a Nancy Drew clone (my heroine was Nancy Flew). Skip forward to today, and the book that landed me an agent is a teen mystery series! LOL!
