Colin Riley catches a pretty blond before she takes a serious tumble down a flight of stairs. The instant connection between them throws them both off for a moment. Two months later he meets another blond who’s name is Rachel and she saves him from a sadistic woman by releasing him from where he is handcuffed to a bed. Only when he returns home from his undercover trip does her remember why he thought the woman who rescued him was familiar. With some serious searching he finds her in a small town in Alabama. But the woman he finds isn’t the woman he had met.

He convinces the woman that calls herself Laurie to come back to his hotel room. When he calls her Rachel she quickly informs him that her name is Laurie. Thinking she’s undercover, Colin goes along with it. Until he discovers that the woman he’s started to fall for is actually both women. She has split personalities. Each woman is entirely different from the other. Where one is outgoing, and spontaneous, the other is shy and innocent.

During a mission Rachel is hurt and Colin may have to choose which woman he wants to be with because both can’t live inside her mind. Because Colin loves both women he may have to make a very difficult decision.

Funny, sexy, and way out there! This book is true Lara! It rocks! Colin is a hot sexy spy and Rachel/Laurie is the perfect heroine. When I started it I couldn’t put it down! I’m waiting for part 2 now.

Beware: Rant approaching...Going to the Movies

Now I remember why I rarely go to the theater to see movies any more.
Or perhaps why I only go to the first show on the movie's opening day...if I can't wait for Pay-Per-View at home.

It's the people.
The teeming masses.
Okay, more specifically? It's the idiots who think they are all alone in the theater and that no one else is trying to enjoy the movie with them.

You know who I'm talking about...the ones who are rude, loud, annoying, generally without any concept that others are occupying the same space.
Arrrrgggg!

Between the group of five young kids (okay they were teenagers) along the back row that couldn't shut up for a single second before, during, or after the movie, to the guy sitting right beside me with his cell phone buzzing about every two minutes (yes it was on vibrate, but loud enough to be heard fifty feet away), to the woman in front of Mr. Loud Vibrating Phone ruffling through her fifty-five gallon bucket of popcorn to shove another fist full into her mouth throughout the film, it's a wonder I didn't blow a vein out of my forehead in frustration.

Most of the dialogue during the movie was lost to me due to voices, buzzing and popcorn ruffling and because of all the rude morons!!

Plus, I don't mind if people come in during the previews and decide they need to sit directly in front of me, even if they need to have everyone in the row stand up to change seats so the two orphaned seats in the row can be put together.
However, I believe it's completely rude to show up five minutes into the movie and do so. Get your ass to the movie on time and you won't have to worry about finding two seats together in the dark!! Arrrggg!

I know that movie theaters won't do it because a ticket sale is a ticket sale, but if I ruled the world...anyone not in the theater and seated by the time the movie starts doesn't get in.
Sort of like in college when you are penalized for being late.
YOU DON'T GET IN THE ROOM. PERIOD.

Oh and once you get in the theater...Sit down, Shut it and Turn your phone to OFF not buzz.
Nothing is that important that you can't be without contact for a couple of hours OR DON'T GO TO THE MOVIES!!! @$#%#& Stay home!
If you stay home you can talk as much as you want and let your phone buzz all the live long day.
And my final rant for the day?
Usually the reason I go to see movies at the theater is because of another rude annoying type of person. The end-of-the-movie-spoiler.

You know who I'm talking about...the person that thinks their opinion is the only one that matters. In their infinite wisdom, they decide whether a movie they've seen is worthy and if it isn't why then they will ruin the end for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.
"Oh, I didn't like that movie, the heroine dies in the end."
Arrggg!!
Even when you beg them to Shut it and not reveal the ending. They can't help but blather it anyway with the caveat. "Well, I didn't want you to waste your money."

Yeah. Thanks. Thanks a bunch for that important warning. Here's a tip, you can tell me you didn't like it and not to waste my money without revealing the ending.
@$#%&@ rude people.
Arrggg!!

So am I alone in this rant?
Please someone, anyone tell me you also would love to strangle the people in the movie theaters across the land along with the movie-spoilers.
Someone?
Anyone?
Or do I just need to take a pill. :)

Siren Publishing Won Bid for Triskelion Contracts

Siren Publishing has won the bid for the Triskelion contracts.

We are still awaiting award confirmation from the trustee's attorney who will email us the official list of authors included in the bid. Aside from the list being inaccurate to start with, prior to the bidding, a number of Triskelion authors had also opted out of the bid list. Until we get the verification letter, we cannot declare whose contracts are part of the bid.

We have received emails from authors asking for an official release letter from Siren. Rather than sending out individual release letters, Siren will compose an umbrella letter stating our ownership of the contracts in the Triskelion bankruptcy and our release of all rights back to the authors. The letter will include the court-approved list of the authors and their books. The letter will be on our official letterhead in print-only PDF format.

We will post the letter on Siren's website at www.sirenpublishing.com/inthenews/triskelion no later than three business days after we receive the list from the attorney. Authors can use this letter for official documentation.

Please check back for updates to this announcement. http://www.sirenpublishing.com/inthenews/triskelion/#status

Book Pajamas

My friend Kristen found the perfect gift for me...even though she doesn't know it yet.
Note to self: Send Kristen my Christmas list. :)

It's hard to see in the picture...but it's pajamas made out of little books. Isn't that awesome?

Now I know what to do with my TBR pile. I'll simply stitch them into clothing. Brilliant!!

Siren Publishing enters the bidding...

for the Triskelion contracts to be held in the public auction on Thursday, November 15th at 10:00 a.m. MST.

If Siren wins the bid, we will make an official announcement at the end of the auction to return all rights to the authors to be effective immediately, unencumbered and unconditional. Triskelion authors will be free on that day to do whatever they wish with their books.

Our bidding is a goodwill gesture to demonstrate Siren's commitment to authors who choose to e-publish. There are likely more bankruptcy proceedings ahead in this industry where the barrier to entry is low and where anybody can start an e-publishing company with no business experience and with practically nothing in the bank. This shakeout will continue to create more grief for authors and give reputable e-publishers as well as the whole industry a bad name.

In part, our bidding is a business decision to promote and advertise Siren as a solid publishing company. Operating a company requires business experience, industry knowledge, a long-term business plan, financial stability, and the owner's willingness to reinvest in the company.

We wish the very best to the Triskelion authors and all other authors who are pursuing e-publication.
